It’s a jungle out there, but regardless of whether that jungle is filled with rocks, bushes, and tree branches, or road debris, wayward shopping carts, and inattentive drivers, the hazards in both environments can do a number on your truck’s or SUV’s unprotected front end. The bumpers, grilles and headlights on today’s vehicles are expensive to repair or replace, but you can avoid the damage and the hassle and expense of making repairs, and gain rugged, off-road ready looks, by mounting one of our strong and rugged grille guards.
A grille guard, also often marketed as a brush guard, will provide the most complete protection for the front of your truck or SUV. The bumper and grille are shielded by the grille guard’s 2 center uprights, sometimes called risers, which attach to the frame, as well as the center horizontal tubes and crossbars that join the uprights together. Most of the grille guards we offer also have light guards, also known as wing wraps, that extend from each upright and wrap around to protect vulnerable headlights from damage.
While grille guards are primarily designed for protection, they’re also prized for their imposing appearance that imparts a tough, ready-for-anything, look to any truck or SUV. Along with the basics described above, many of our grille guards have additional details and features that enhance their appearance and functionality. Some have a perforated screen that will protect your grille from rocks and other debris that could pierce your radiator and leave you stranded, others have supplementary bars within the light guards that, along with being decorative, further protect your headlights, and some even have a built-in center step for easy engine access. But if you regularly use your rig for off-roading or traversing dark country roads at night, you’ll like the fact that just about all our grille guards have predrilled holes or tabs for mounting auxiliary lights or LED light bars, and some even come with integral LED light bars already installed.
All our grille guards are manufactured model specific, for particular make, model, and year vehicles, so you can be assured of easy installation and precise fit. The grille guard uprights mount to the frame at the bottom, often where the factory tow hooks are mounted, and brackets are included expressly designed to use the mounting holes that already exist on your vehicle, no drilling required. Upper mounting brackets may also be provided, depending on application. Complete instructions are included to guide you through the easy installation. Many newer trucks and SUVs are equipped with parking sensors, and mounting a grille guard could interfere with sensor operation. We offer sensor relocation kits for several grille guards that relocate the sensors to an unobstructed location on the guard.
Experienced off-roaders know that getting stuck isn’t a matter of if but when, and they quickly find out that when you or a buddy can’t drive your way out of a jam a winch is your best friend. But if you want to mount a winch you don’t have to forego having a grille guard. We offer several grille guards with integral winch trays: Headlight guards can be added to one model and another model features a perforated screen and headlight guards, with optional provisions for mounting auxiliary lights and tow hooks. Another option for carrying a winch is a modular system that starts with purchase of the basic winch carrier. You can then add optional components including the grille guard uprights, headlight guards, light mounting brackets, and even a hitch receiver.
