Obviously, your vehicle's OE suspension isn't cutting it or you wouldn't be looking at this page. There are many ways to improve suspension performance, but the method you choose depends on how dissatisfied you are with the way your car or truck rides and handles. Staying with the basic original factory suspension design and upgrading existing components may give you the performance you want, but in some cases a complete suspension makeover is needed. You can completely transform the suspension in your car or truck with one of our conversion kits and get the performance you want.

Unacceptable performance isn't the only reason to consider a suspension redesign. Some factory air suspension and electronic, active suspension systems work well when the car or truck is new, but as the vehicle ages components can deteriorate and fail. Air bags crack and get punctured, air lines leak, ride height sensors and solenoids fail, and compressors burn out, often accompanied by annoying dash lights, or even worse, with ride height so low your vehicle can't even be driven. Complexity and component prices can make these systems prohibitively expensive to repair.

But no matter whether you want to improve your vehicle's capability or reduce repair costs, we have the suspension conversion kits for the job. Our air-to-coil spring and electronic-to-passive suspension conversion kits are the affordable antidote to air and electronic suspension systems headaches. Depending on application each kit includes strut assemblies to replace air or electronic struts, coil springs in place of air springs, and/or gas shocks to replace air shocks. Each kit is engineered for the specific application, so you get components that bolt right in place and deliver premium quality ride and handling, and some even include modules to turn off dashboard suspension warning lights. And you can say good-bye to reliability woes and exorbitant air/electronic suspension repair bills.

But while coil spring conversions are right for many vehicle owners, for those that routinely carry heavy loads or tow large trailers, an air suspension's load-leveling capabilities are invaluable. If you'd like to enjoy these benefits, we have coil-to-air conversion kits that replace your rear coil springs with air springs and include a compressor, air lines, height sensors and everything needed for installation. We also have load support/leveling kits with air springs that work with and fit inside rear coil springs as well as air helper springs for leaf spring vehicles that install between the frame and axle. And if you want to level the front of a truck that's drooping because of a plow or other accessories we have air spring/shock absorber assemblies for front suspensions.

There are other reasons besides load leveling to convert to an air suspension system. If you want that ground-hugging look for your show car, or want to cut lap times at the track, nothing beats an air suspension system. Your OE springs or struts are replaced with infinitely adjustable air springs or struts. If you have a custom cruiser you can slam it without the harsh ride typical of lowered coil springs, and easily raise it up with the touch of a button to clear speed bumps and steep driveways. For performance cars we have struts that come with adjustable progressive rate air springs, and adjustable damping, for ride height adjustment, resistance to body roll and dive, precise suspension tuning, and responsiveness that rivals the best coilover systems, yet provides a comfortable highway ride.

Coilovers are a popular choice for lowering ride height. Lowering your car lowers the center of gravity, which reduces weight transfer and keeps vehicle weight more evenly distributed on the tires. You'll have less body roll for improved cornering, less dive for better braking, and less squat for enhanced acceleration. Lowering ride height also reduces the gap between the top of the tires and the fenders for that desirable “flush stance”. Unlike lowering springs that reduce ride height by a predetermined amount, coilovers are adjustable, so you can fine tune the height at each wheel. But purchasing a set of full bodied coilovers to completely replace your springs and struts or shocks can be very expensive.

Our shock-to-coilover conversion kits, sometimes called coilover sleeves, are the economical way to change ride height. Threaded sleeves and coil springs fit over the existing shock bodies or install on the existing struts in place of the original springs, or coil springs with threaded spring perches replace the original coil springs. A locking collar can be raised or lowered on the threads to change ride height. Sleeve kits are available with and without springs and while some are vehicle specific and designed to be installed on a particular vehicle's suspension components, others are universal and designed for a specific diameter shock/strut, which allows you to use your choice of shocks or struts.
