Driveshafts and U-Joints and CV-Joints have a hard job transferring power from the transmission/transaxle to wheels and axles that are constantly in motion. Add a lot of horsepower to the mix or steeper driveshaft angles and greater suspension articulation found on lifted off-roaders and the task becomes a lot tougher. Our driveshafts feature thicker wall tubing to handle the load and some off-road applications feature double-cardan style CV-Joints for added strength.
Performance transaxles, transfer cases, and differentials provide the gearing that enables you to keep your engine in the powerband, for neck snapping acceleration and high speed. A different ratio ring & pinion set is a great way to get more giddyup off the line but it's also a necessity to maintain performance on trucks and SUVs when you bolt on a tall set of wheels and tires. And to make sure you're not stuck with one wheel spinning, bolt in a limited slip differential or locking differential and get traction on any surface.
Wheel hubs and bearings are the last link in the chain, where the power gets put to terra firma by the wheel and tire assembly. These parts are often neglected, yet they have the important role of supporting the axle shaft and mounting the wheel, with as little power loss from friction as possible. They're especially important when you add the weight of large diameter off-road wheels and tires.
